After almost two months of IPL T20 cricket we reached here for the end of the IPL 2023. IPL has highlighted future stars of Indian Cricket. It was breath-taking journey so far.
We will be seeing Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 Final. As many suggesting this could be the last IPL match of MS Dhoni. Everyone is waiting to see him on the ground, ‘may be one last time’.
The IPL 2023 Final match was scheduled to be happen on 28th May 2023 at 7.30 pm. Both teams were ready to take the field. But continues rains has spoiled plans of IPL Final.
Due to heavy downpour an Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad the match has been called off without toss. As we have reserve day, we will mostly likely see full match on reserve day. IPL Final has been postponed to 29th May 2023 at 7.30 pm (Reserve day).

What happens if Reserve day is also washed out?
Officials will try everything possible to have IPL Final on reserve day. But if rain persists on reserve day as well then officials will try to conduct at least 5 overs match. If that is also out of equation then we will have Super Over to decide the IPL 2023 Champions.
If rain doesn’t allow Super over then as per the IPL Rule, ‘whichever team finishes above in the points table after 70 league matches will be announced as the Champions.’ If we can’t have Final on reserve day then Gujarat Titans will walk away with IPL 2023 trophy.

Gujarat Titans have advantage in this scenario. After 70 league matches Gujarat Titans finished on the Top of IPL 2023 points table. GT have played 14 league matches and won 10 matches and are seating at the top with 20 points.
While Chennai Super Kings also played 14 league matches they managed to win only 8 matches and match against Lucknow Super Giants was washed out because of rain so the shared point with LSG. Chennai Super Kings are seating second with 17 points.
Hopefully we will see full Final match on reserve day and every cricket fan will be able to see MS Dhoni on ground against young leader in Gujarat town, Hardik Pandya. If reserve day gets washed out then Gujarat Titans will become IPL Champions second time in a row. That would be great achievement for Hardik Pandya and his team.
